870 Beach Boys, oil on board, 2.5 x 3.3

sold-USA New Hampshire
Here's another minimal stroke miniature painting. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. Hope it gets a good home.

864 Little White Caps, oil on board, 2.5 x 3.5

Here's a little gem I did of one of my favourite subjects using very minimal strokes. I really like the way it turned out.

860 Modest Beauties, oil on board, 6x6

sold-USA
This is the same bouquet gathered from yesterday. I turned the jar and liked the droopy calendulas and daisy and the big red velvety gerbera, and the now droopy snap dragons. There are a few lavender stocks that are so fragrant it was an extra treat to paint today.
Below is my set up.

859 Everlasting Beauties, oil on board, 6x6

I did this little gem this morning from the same bouquet I picked two weeks ago. They are as pretty as ever, though a little wilted.
I chose a purply gray for the background to compliment the yellow flowers. Should I have gone a more neutral gray to rest the eye?

858 Amazing Carnations, oil on board, 6x6

These carnations are amazing. This is at least the third painting I've done of them. I've kept them in the fridge between painting them. I've still got those pavement flowers from two weeks ago in the fridge. So I'll give them a go later today. I'm off to Bastion Square.

856 Beach Day, oil on board, 8x10

Another wonderful beach day. I love summer! My paint got lumpy. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.
