999 Sunflowers and Blue Bird, 18x24, oil on stretched canvas

This bluebird figurine adds two things to this painting. It balances the composition and adds an element of narrative. I found bluebird at a consignment shop in Victoria a few years ago. He's appeared in a number of paintings. I'm always on the lookout for bird figurines. I'd be glad to find one even damaged but I think people just don't want to part with these darling things. Sigh.
