598 Fonyo Beach Winter Scene

This is a little plein air painting I did this afternoon at Steve Fonyo Beach. The ever changing lighting was challenging. It's nice to be out in such temperate conditions though as it is so cold back east.

597 Downtown Montreal Winter

sold
I love these charming little side streets in Downtown Montreal with great big old maple trees and beautiful churches snuggled in amongst the high rises.

596 Montreal Petite-Patrie

n/a

This is Montreal's Little Italy. Boul St-Laurant between Beaubien and Jean-Talon. I had lunch at Bar Sportivo. Their menu is simple but every item is world class. I had their speciality. A sandwich that raised the bar for sandwiches. Melt in your mouth delicious.  Now I'm spoiled.
Mr Sportivo
The simple but great menu.
The sandwich.

595 Parc St-Viateur Outremont

Sold
Montreal has the most charming parks. This one has a large pond with an island in the middle with a warming house for the winter. I skated here as a child. I love winter for skating, skiing, sliding, warm radiators with drying mittens. And of course HOCKEY!

593 Montreal Village Snow Scene, Rue Sherbrooke Est

sold
This is a Village scene after the blizzard. Well, between blizzards. What appealed to me was that great leaning maple and those charming balconies. This is Rue Sherbrooke Est in the Village, across from Parc LaFontaine.
