1701 Beach Drive, Oak Bay (Victoria), BC

The show goes till Sun March 27.

BC Forest, acrylic on canvas, 80x100cm

This is the final painting (I think).

BC Forest, acrylic 80x100cm

This is one of the 5 paintings I've been working on for the Sketch Club Annual Show. I'm glad I photographed it for this blog. Looking at it in a new light I can see where I will need to work on some areas before the show.
I've been working on elements to give my paintings depth.
I want the viewer to feel they can walk into the painting.

Sunflower Parade, detail *30x40in

Here's a detail of a large sunflower painting I'm working on for the Sketch Club Show. I like the way this painting is working out. But it is such a labour intensive painting I find it is testing my reserves. Argh!
