I painted these spring flowers this morning at a local park.  Really the flowers were all spread out so they didn't really fit on an 8x10 board. But I squeezed them together to get them all in.

I just finished this painting. Sorry about the glare. I love winter paintings. Painting the shadows on the snow is a fun challenge. The typical after the snowfall Montreal scene where people and cars make their way down the middle of the street and clamber over neck high snowbanks. So glad to have a warm cosy place to be tonight.

It was another heavenly day in Victoria. I was drawn to this beautiful spot by the fragrance of these yellow flowers. Are they broom or gorse?  This is a knife painting and it'll take weeks to dry.

Today I went out to Fort Rodd Historical Park. It was a beautiful day. Sunny but with clouds blowing around. I think it's the clouds evaporating in the morning sun. Last year I painted the light house from a slightly different vantage point but the sky was overcast. I was dying to return, hoping for a dynamic sky, which is what I got.

I painted this little gem today in one of the few shady spots I could find and still paint something that inspired me. I like the S-curve. What a scorcher of a day!
