These little studies are sometimes the bases for larger studio works. But they are nice little paintings in their own right too.

Here's those Willows Beach Kids. They seem to be seriously building sand castles. I just love dramatic light. This is high noon and short shadows. But the backlighting really adds a sense of drama to the scene.

It was such a nice day that everyone was out at Willows Beach. This little scene caught my eye.

My favourite horse is always the one I'm patting right now. This is Molly. She's a gentle, affectionate, darling of a horse. I always stop to pat her when she's resting in the shade of the trees on Menzies Street. She comes right up onto the sidewalk when I approach her. (And I don't even give her treats...it's all friendship).
